LOURDES PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB!
This is the third year that OLOL will have a photography club. the purpose is to introduce middle school students to the basics of photography, editing, and printing of pictures as well as to capture memories of a variety of school activities. Here are the basics:
• WHO: The club is open to upper middle school students,
grades 6-8. IMPORTANT: We will accommodate 8th
graders first, then 7th, and should we have room, the 6th
grade.
• HOW MANY: We are limiting the club to twelve students.
This will allow us to keep the classes and activites
manageable. Should we have additional interest, we will
work on a plan to accommodate the additional students.
• WHEN: We will meet once every two weeks. We are
currently working on a schedule that would allow us to
meet immediately after school on some days as well as
some evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 in the school's computer
lab. The important note is that the schedule will be flexible
to accommodate the varying schedules of both the parent
volunteers and students alike.
• Additionally, there will be photography sessions that
will be scheduled around school events and other
activities. These dates will vary, but will likely include
some weekends.
• QUALIFICATIONS: No previous training or skill is
necessary. We only ask that you come ready to learn
and work.
• COSTS: There is no cost. The club will generate a
moderate amount of revenue to sustain itself, and the
Men's Club will cover any shortfall.
• WHAT: The club will take pictures for sports teams, the
newspaper, the yearbook, and more.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Sign up your son or daughter! REMEMBER, it's first come, first served by grade up to the first twelve students.
