Weddings (church preparation & clean up)

Volunteers prepare the Church for weddings. Contact Angela L'Hommedieu if you would like to participate in this ministry.

Weddings are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Other times may be scheduled with approval from the pastor. Contact the rectory to schedule a wedding.

For weddings at Our Lady of Lourdes
Current parishioners and their children are welcome to be married in our parish church. Please note the Archdiocese of St. Louis requires a six-month period of preparation prior to the wedding. If you are awaiting the decision of the Marriage Tribunal regarding a possible annulment, please wait until you have received your final papers.

Non-Parishioners
Those who have no intention of becoming parishioners may also be married at Lourdes. We ask that you invite a priest or deacon of your choosing to prepare you and to officiate your wedding. Your priest or deacon will complete all of the necessary paperwork and will assist you with planning your wedding ceremony in conjunction with the guidelines of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Non-Parishioner weddings can be scheduled no sooner than one year in advance, and there will be no more than one non-parishioner wedding scheduled on any Saturday. Cost: $750 (please note: a $500 deposit is necessary to hold the date)

For weddings elsewhere
Members of the parish desiring to be married elsewhere are encouraged to obtain preliminary information about the location and the priest who will officiate. One of our parish priests can assist in preparing the couple and completing the paperwork.

Annulments
Parishioners desiring information about an annulment are urged to contact one of our parish priests.
