You can take just the 30 seconds it takes to read it slowly;
you can spend five minutes with it at a quiet moment in your day;
you can return to it several times throughout the day;
you can read it together with your kids on the way to school.
Just start somewhere.
This season is a gift. It's meant to let you prepare peacefully and hopefully for the coming of the Lord.
Let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were called in one body. (cf. Col 3:15)

If all you have time to add to your plate is to pray the Scripture and responsory from the calendar, just start there. If you want to do more, however, here are some options for additional Advent preparation.

- Action Cards - draw one each day of Advent (parents can curate the collection so you don't get stuck with something you can't accomplish).
As a tangible sign for younger children, let them have a short piece of yarn for each act of love. They can place it in the manger in your nativity scene, to make it more comfortable for baby Jesus!If you want to do better about conversing about your faith with friends:
