The Congress begins a "Year of Mission" in the national Eucharistic revival, and there may be the opportunity for a follow-up study on this topic for those interested in going deeper - the "hope and promise" of parish life among this Eucharistic people. But the main thing that the Revival committee asks each of us to do is, "walk with one [person]" in their struggles related to the Church.
The Eucharist - Christ giving himself for us, to us, in intimacy, to strengthen us - should be shaping our view of the world and our interactions in it.
How can you see Christ more clearly at your Sunday liturgy?
Discussion of Behold, Believe, Become: Meeting the Hidden Christ in the Things We See, Say, and Do at Mass by Timothy P. O'Malley
Mondays at 7:30 PM in the Parish Commons (map linked)
Since each chapter could stand alone for contemplation, it's okay if you can't make all five nights.
Out of town and can't join the discussion? Want supplemental resources?
You can always read along, and we will share weekly accompanying videos of Dcn. Jason and Rachel Bulman's family living out the pieces of each chapter. These will come via the OLOL spiritual resource Flocknote group (the same one from which our Advent and Lenten reflections come).
The July 8 session will be immediately after the Eucharistic procession from California makes its stops in the Archdiocese of St. Louis on its way to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. The series will wrap up immediately after the Congress itself.
