The Liturgy Committee assists the pastor in the promotion of the sacred liturgy according to the norms of the Church. The Liturgy Committee is comprised of the following members:
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish is committed to the prayerful celebration of the sacred liturgy.
The Director of Sacred Music approves cantors, musicians, and musical selections for all celebrations of the sacred liturgy at church. This includes, but is not limited to, the solemn celebrations in the life of the Parish—Christmas, the Sacred Triduum, Easter, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Please contact the Director of Sacred Music for musical selections for weddings and funerals.
“Liturgical worship is given a more noble form when it is celebrated in song, with the ministers of each degree fulfilling their ministry and the people participating in it. Indeed, through this form, prayer is expressed in a more attractive way, the mystery of the liturgy, with its hierarchical and community nature, is more openly shown, the unity of hearts is more profoundly achieved by the union of voices, minds are more easily raised to heavenly things by the beauty of the sacred rites, and the whole celebration more clearly prefigures that heavenly liturgy which is enacted in the holy city of Jerusalem” (Musicam Sacram, 5).

Volunteers spend time on Mondays (except legal holidays) praying before the Lord who is really and truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the altar.
When we go into the church for prayer, we do not find a relic or memory, we find Jesus Himself. He is all-powerful, all-loving, all-perfect and anxiously waiting for us to visit Him. All the treasures and wonders of this world are nothing compared to what we find in adoration of the Lord. Feel free to visit church anytime or for Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament anytime Mondays from 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
